Our prepaid solution is a robust, scalable prepayment vending system that assists landlords, private landlords, body corporates, and sectional title complexes with the recovery of electricity. It is a highly flexible system that integrates with any existing infrastructure where simple or complex service tariffs are required by legislation.

Single-Phase Prepaid Meter

This is a single-phase 80-amp split prepayment meter in a DIN rail-mount housing, using PLC communication between the meter and customer interface unit. The Power-Rail PLC meter is typically installed in a pole-top enclosure or secure street kiosk. The small size of the product means that a smaller street kiosk can be used. With PLC technology, the installation is cost effective, with no need to install dedicated communication wires. The meter can be accessed remotely using the remote-access terminal. It can also operate in credit-metering mode. The Power-Rail PLC may also be fitted with a shroud for improved sealing and revenue protection.

Three-Phase Prepaid Meter

This is a three-phase, four-wire 100-amp per phase split PLC prepayment meter in a compact BS housing. The meter has a display and communicates with the customer interface unit by means of PLC technology. It is suitable for residential and commercial environments where PLC communications are appreciated due to the ease of installation, and not having to install dedicated communication wires for the split prepayment functionality. Standard vending software features apply, including a credit metering mode.

Remote Access Terminal

Comprising of a three-phase PLC Remote DCU Terminal supported by our server communications controller, this solution enables remote monitoring, fraud detection, and two-way communications with the PLC meter range. The DCU communicates with the connected meters via a plug-and-play RLC/TF modem, and transfers messages to the master servers through a plug-and-play GPRS/ 3G /4G modem or ethernet, thereby providing flexibility and ease of use. It monitors the PLC communication messages between the prepayment meters and their customer interface units, storing this meter data for communication back to the server at the utility back office. There are substantial benefits, such as meter tamper and fraud detection, two-way communication, and the ability to audit meters remotely, thereby reducing the operational costs and enhancing the revenue protection capability.
